TRUST

Updated: Sep 28, 2021

What does it mean to fully trust? It is only when I come up against a storm that I find out just how must I am trusting or rather, how much h I am not trusting. Right now as I am navigating through life, I hear the Lord telling me to “let go.” My response: “Again?” Last week it was hope deferred. “Clean out the trash and let me make you whole. Follow me because beyond your hope deferred is something more beautiful and more amazing than you could think, dream or imagine” was His reply.

Today the Lord beckons to me again, “Trust me Beloved”.

I now that here is more to let go of, I am sure of it, but how do I do it?

The Lord calls me to look into His eyes.

When I stop, close my eyes, and look from my heart into the eyes of my sweet Jesus, I see storm tossed waves. Dismayed, I push forward and find myself witnessing the intense beauty of a calm sea spreading out as far as the eye can see. The crystal clear, turquoise water glimmers with gold flecks as the sun splashes out on the glass like ocean. Something grips my heart as if there is more, compelling me to push forward in the vision. Moving forward, I am overwhelmed by the beauty of pure white lilies floating on the water.

Jesus smiles and I hear, “They are my purity and they are yours for the taking. Step in. Gather close to me for I am restoring your heart to look like mine—Perfect white beauty as far as the eye can see. This is what others will see when they are with you and their hearts will burn for me.”

I am overcome by the intense beauty and the sweet fragrance of my Jesus amongst the lilies. He speaks again, “The lilies are also a picture of my promises. Feed on them, unwrap them, and lean in as I lead you to them. They will begin to shoot up like fountains all around you—fountains of life, beauty, peace, ideas, creativity, joy, and laughter. As you dance with me in the lilies it will be impossible for you to not be covered in their fragrance. The fragrance upon you will be your strength to pull down Heaven—leading others to my promises.”

I want to run across the ocean and dance with Jesus among the lilies but something is holding me back. “What Lord? Where am I not trusting you?” I ask Him.

He replies, “Throw off anything that keeps you weighed down—worry, fear, negative thoughts, judgment, anger, self-pity, and isolation will cause you to sink and the lilies will be out of reach. When you are sinking, all your strength will be taken up while trying to keep your head above water. You will begin to strive and trust will be lost. Let go of your heavy garments in exchange for me, your Beloved. What I have for you is more beautiful than your imagination can consider. Let go for I am all you need. Stop struggling to create, become, and provide. Let go and trust me. Let go of your intense need to do it right. Simply drop the garment and draw near to me. It is in me that you become and all of life dreams will begin to flow in a beautiful steady rhythm. You must surrender.”

As the vision begins to fade, I see Jesus opening up a large scroll like a blue print with gold letters floating off the page like a symphony.

“Lord, I will trust you with who I am, my destiny and your provision. Show me how to let go of a life time of striving to become and simply trust.”

Today I will put the vision of lilies before me knowing His promises are there for the asking. His beauty is mine and his love is all consuming.

“Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make. Become intimate with him in whatever you do, and he will lead you wherever you go. Don’t think for a moment that you know it all for wisdom comes when you adore him with undivided devotion and avoid everything that’s wrong. Then you will find the healing refreshment your body and spirit long for.” Proverbs 3:5-6 TPT

“Everyone Look! Come and see the breathtaking wonders of our God. For he brings both ruin and revival. He’s the one who makes conflicts end throughout the earth, breaking and burning every weapon of war.Surrender your anxiety! Be silent and stop your striving and you will see that I am God. I am the God above all the nations, and I will be exalted throughout the whole earth. Here he stands! The Commander! The mighty Lord of Angel Armies is on our side! The God of Jacob fights for us!” Psalm 46:9-11
